Connect4Hero works offline and requires no account. Optional gameplay analytics is off until you choose to share it. When enabled, PostHog receives gameplay events associated with a random app identifier so we can improve difficulty and balance. We do not use advertising or cross-app tracking.

This policy applies to the Connect4Hero app and its official support website. It does not govern services operated independently by Apple or other parties. Links to external services, if any, are provided for convenience and are subject to those services’ own policies.

If you enable Share Gameplay Analytics, we collect tutorial progress, stage starts and results, turns, time spent actively playing, rune placements, offered and selected rewards, heroes summoned and spells used. Events include a random app identifier, run and battle identifiers, app version and build, and technical context such as device model, operating system, language and screen size.

We do not collect your name, email, advertising ID, contacts, photos, payment details or saved board snapshots. Screen recording and automatic interaction capture are disabled. We disable IP-based location enrichment; PostHog still receives a network IP address when delivering requests.

The app stores game progress and preferences locally on your device so that you can continue a run and retain your settings. Full save files are not uploaded. If you enable analytics, selected progress and gameplay facts described above are transmitted separately.

Retention and deletion

Local game data remains on your device until it is overwritten by normal use, reset within the app where applicable, or removed when you delete the app. Deleting the app may permanently delete this data. The app currently does not provide cloud backup or cross-device synchronisation.

Optional analytics is processed by PostHog on our behalf to understand gameplay and improve the app. The app is distributed through Apple’s App Store. Apple may independently process information relating to App Store downloads, purchases, device diagnostics, or your Apple Account under Apple’s own privacy policy and settings. Such processing is controlled by Apple, not Connect4Hero.

Connect4Hero does not operate a gameplay server and does not require a network connection to play. The official website may be delivered by an infrastructure provider that processes standard technical request information, such as an IP address, solely to deliver and secure the website. We do not use website analytics, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels.

The app provides no accounts or online messaging. Optional analytics is disabled unless sharing is enabled. Parents and guardians can leave sharing off or turn it off in Settings. Contact us with concerns about information associated with a child.

Game saves remain on your device. When analytics is enabled, events are sent over HTTPS to PostHog Cloud in the United States; processing may take place outside your country. Events may be queued locally while offline.

Analytics retention follows our PostHog project settings and plan. Turning sharing off stops further collection and uploads while disabled; it does not delete previously received events. We do not sell analytics data or use it for advertising.

You can decline analytics after completing or skipping onboarding and change Share Gameplay Analytics in Settings at any time. Playing the game does not require analytics. Deleting the app removes its local saves and settings. Because analytics uses a random identifier rather than an account, we may need additional information to locate a record when responding to a privacy request.

We may update this policy if the app’s features, data practices, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If a future version changes how we collect or use data, we will update the relevant App Store privacy disclosures and this policy before that version is released.
